Mickey's House

We spent ten days in the "world of the mouse" and had a ball.  We took our time and relaxed and enjoyed it.  We made time for afternoon naps and had early dinners and things went very well.  The boys got to meet all the usual suspects and more.  We swam in the pools and the "beach" and did lots of exploring.

Here are a few moments of joy!!

E's Birthday

Ethan's birthday fell right in the middle of our big family trip to the world of disney.  We had a great lunch with Tigger and Pooh and the whole gang.  Ethan loved his cake and here are the pics to prove it.

Birthdays and Blizzards

It has been way too long for a post so I have a few to get in to bring us up to date.  We planned a big birthday bash for the boys but Colorado spring weather did it's usual and we ended up with two feet of snow.  Ty was fine with it as he got to run around and play in the snow a lot.  Here are a few pics we got of Ty on his snowy day.  Ethan's actual day was two weeks later in Disney.  Plenty of sun for him!!  See the next post...

Sunshine

Living here in Colorado we see so many sunny days and I love that. Having grown up with long and gloomy winters it really helps me to appreciate the weather we get to have here year round. Now as I watch my boys playing on the floor with the sunshine streaming in through the windows I appreciate it even more.

Ty inherited my father’s ears and I love them. Yes they stick out and yes they may not end up being his favorite feature but I love them. I love that it is a feature I can say comes right from my dad who I love so much. I love that they are different and distinctive. I love that even when he wears a hat they peek out. What I love the very most is when he stands with the sun shining from behind him; they glow. I cannot help but cover him, ears and all, with mommy kisses.

We knew Ethan was a boy before he was born. We knew he was even more active then his crazy big brother. We knew we were in for a whole new rollercoaster of love, excitement and chaos with two boys. We did not however know he would be blond haired and blue eyed! Now he is a little baldy to be sure but his tiny blond fuzz is so cute and although there are times I think it is getting darker it sparkles so blond in the sunshine. My blond sparkly boy!

So I guess all the rambling means I love my boys in the sunshine.

Ty likes watching the big boys play soccer....

....but the slide is even better

Airplanes are the best even in the snow.

Ethan thought the steam from the dryer vent was way cool.

Trick or treat

We tried and tried to get a good pic of Ty in his costume but it was not to be. He looked great in his Max costume. He even had a little stuffed "wild thing" to carry along with him thanks to his uncle Todd. Ethan was the cutest turtle we have ever seen. We did a quick round of our block and we were ready for baths and bedtime. Teething turtles can only go so far you know.
