Low tide
As we spend this extra time at the beach these next few weeks I find myself able to see new things. We are usually only here for only a few days or a week at the most. When that happens we have so many things to do we cannot or do not take the time to see the smaller things. This time we are able to be down at the water so much more.
Today we went down at the lowest of low tides. The water had this whole other feeling to it. It was odd to stand in a few inches of water where I would usually be way over my head. The very shallow water seemed to go on and on and this was the perfect time to take Ty down to explore. Now I know he is more beautiful to me then to the rest of the world but...
I stood back and watched him run as the day's light faded and the sun danced across the water. He was moving his little legs so quickly and with such purpose that he looked like those funny sea birds with the long legs that run so quickly with the receding water to find food. He was a blur of energy and happiness.
...how could you not smile at this?
